STEPHANIE MAITLAND

Stephanie Maitland ist eine schottische Altistin und Mitglied des Opernstudios der Wiener Staatsoper. Sie studierte am Royal Northern College of Music und sang dort Sandmännchen (»Hänsel und Gretel«), La Principessa (»Suor Angelica«), Zita (»Gianni Schicchi«), Madame By-ends (»The Pilgrim’s Progress«), La Prieure (»Dialogues des Carmélites«) und Lady Bertram (»Mansfield Park«). Sie absolvierte Meisterklassen bei Ann Murray, Susan Bullock und Della Jones. An der der Garsington Opera wirkte sie im Rahmen des Young Artist Programms und studierte Mrs. Grose (»The Turn oft he Screw«). Am Buxton International Festival wurde sie als Zuma (»Alzira«) engagiert. Ihre geplante Mitwirkung am Glyndebourne-Chor musste aufgrund von Covid-19 abgesagt werden. Sie war Halbfinalistin in By Voice Alone-Bewerb und gewann den Singer's Preparation Award.
