Fixed ticket contingent for opera and ballet:

For U27 members, tickets for selected performances (marked U27 in our calendar) are available for just €20. These can be purchased two months in advance. 

From November on, tickets can be bought in categories 2-9.

Sometimes additional contingents of €20 are opened for U27 members at short notice. These special dates are communicated via the U27 newsletter.

Remaining tickets:

Anyone under 27 (including non-U27 members) can purchase remaining tickets (if available) for just €20 from half an hour before the start of the performance at the box office in the foyer (corner of Opernring and Herbert von Karajan-Platz).

As a U27 member, you can experience dress rehearsals for just €10. The complete run-through of a finished new production is shown, exactly as it will look at the premiere. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to see a production of the Vienna State Opera or the Vienna State Ballet even before the official premiere. 

The 2024/25 Season dates:

Introductory matinees:

Free admission for all U27 members to the introductory matinees to the new productions. Moderated by director Bogdan Roscic, the audience receives information about the productions and insights into the artistic production proces
 

Date for the 2023/24 season matinees: 

Director portraits:

Free visit for all U27 members to the event series Director portrait. Directors of new productions will be introduced and explain their artistic perspectives and working methods, providing an illuminating insight into their workshop. The audience will of course have the opportunity to ask questions.
