Anna Nekhames

Soprano Anna Nekhames first sang in the Bolshoi Theatre children’s chorus. Later, she studied in Moscow, including at the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music In 2018 she moved to the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna In addition, she participated in several masterclasses, including with Nicholas Sears (Royal College of Music, London), Riccardo Mascia and Claudia Rondelli (Conservatorio di Musica Arrigo Boito Parma), Gianni Tangucci, Ramón de Andrés, Lubov Stuchevskaya, Yuly Khomenko (University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna) and Oleg Ptashnikov. She has won prizes at several competitions, including the Moscow International Competition of Academic Solo Singing, Musica Classica International Singing Competition in Rusa, the 19th Saint Petersburg Music Competition, the 2018 All-Russia Singing competition and won the Hilde Zadek International Voice competition in Vienna. Her roles include Musetta (La Bohème), Madame Herz (Der Schauspieldirektor), and Olympia (The Tales of Hoffmann). In September 2020 she joins the Wiener Staatsoper Opera Studio.
