ANDRI JOËL HARISON

The young Austrian pianist, tenor, conductor and composer ANDRI JOËL HARISON, born in Vienna in 1995, discovered music very early on. He completed his musical training at the Vienna University of Music, among others. At the age of 15 he made his first appearance as a conductor at the premiere of his first composition for orchestra in a music school. He is a prize winner of the “International Competition for Piano for Six and Eight Hands” of the Bavarian Music Academy, eight-time prize winner of the youth music competition “Prima la musica”, prize winner of the 18th “Osaka International Music Competition”. He is also the winner of the "Heinz Arnold Memorial Scholarship" as a pianist and accompanist at the 5th International Young Talent Competition for the Richard Wagner Prize of the Richard Wagner Foundation in Leipzig. In 2010 he represented Austria's young musicians at the 65th Chopin Festival in Duszniki-Zdrój (Poland) as “Vienna's Music Ambassador”. Since September 2020 he has been a member of the Young Artist Program of the Wiener Staatsoper as a pianist and répétiteur.
