The most convenient and affordable way to visit the Vienna State Opera

If you are planning to visit the Vienna State Opera more often in the coming year and would like to enjoy the broad repertoire of the Vienna State Opera, then a subscription is the ideal offer.
You can see five pre-selected performances in your chosen seat and experience a variety of operas and ballets, saving up to 30% compared to buying individual tickets.

How your subscription works

Step 1

Before the season presentation, select one of our subscriptions. A subscription includes a total of 5 performances. Generally, these are 4 opera and 1 ballet performance.

Step 2

Choose a day of the week that suits you - every day is available except Saturday.

Step 3

You choose your favorite seat, depending on availability, in the price category of your choice. As a season ticket holder, you will receive a discount of up to 30% compared to the normal price.

A subscription includes a maximum of seven seats - depending on availability. Your season ticket is valid for the entire season.
If you have booked several seats in your subscription, you are free to choose who you take with you as your companion. If you do not have time to attend a performance, you are welcome to pass on your tickets to a family member or release them for resale minus a commission fee of 10% (but at least €3). In addition, we also offer to exchange the subscription date once per season within the same production.

 

Subscriptions can be requested in person at the subscription office or in writing by e-mail(abonnement@wiener-staatsoper.at).
Subscriptions are automatically renewed for a further season unless they are canceled in writing by the subscriber or the Vienna State Opera by 31 March of the current season.

 

In addition, we are pleased to send you the monthly magazine of the Vienna State Opera, Opernring 2, as well as the magazine Bühne free of charge.

You can find the current dates of your subscription directly in our calendar using the filters. Simply select your subscription and the calendar will show you the dates included in your subscription.

It is not possible to transfer a subscription to another person during the current season. If you wish to transfer your subscription to another person, we require a fully signed transfer form from you and the new subscription holder.

If you have lost your subscription card, moved house or your personal details have changed, please contact our subscription office immediately.
