Standing Room

With our Standing RoomPLUS, you have the opportunity to purchase an additional benefit for the Vienna State Opera in addition to your Bundestheater Card.

By paying a one-off fee of €20, you can purchase your standing room at a greatly reduced price of €5 (first floor) or €4 (balcony or gallery), either online or in person at the Bundestheater box offices from 10 a.m. on the day before the performance. In addition, you will receive a contingent of four free standing tickets.

Please note that the price reduction and advance booking can only be applied to one standing place per performance and BundestheaterCard.

Attention: If your Bundestheater Card was issued after August 30, 2023, you must pay the one-time Standing Room PLUS fee to take advantage of the offer. If your Bundestheater Card was issued before August 30, 2023, Standing Room PLUS is automatically activated for you.

• Go directly to our ticket shop
• Click on "Register" at the top right and log in
• Now select the event for which you want to buy a discounted standing room ticket.
  Please note: Standing room tickets are only available from 10 a.m. on the day before the performance.
• In the seating plan at the top left you will see the three areas "Standing area", "Balcony" and "Gallery". Please click on your desired area.
• Select an available standing area (in color). The reduced price will now be displayed.
  Please note that you can only book one seat with your account.
• Click on "Add to shopping cart" and complete your booking.

• Click on "Register" at the top right and log in
• Now select the event for which you want to buy a standing room ticket.
  Please note: Standing room only becomes available one day before the performance from 10 am.
• In the seating plan at the top left you will see the three areas "Standing area", "Balcony" and "Gallery". Please click on your desired area.
• Select an available standing area (in color) and click on "Standing area reduced".
  Please note that you can only redeem the promotion for one standing area per performance.
• Click on "Add to shopping cart", select your preferred ticket option, accept the general terms and conditions and click on "Continue"
• Enter your customer number under "Customer card/promotion code" and click on "Redeem".
• The tickets are now discounted and you can complete the booking.
