Schwindfoyer

Panel discussions, receptions, gala dinners

The Schwindfoyer, named after the painter Moritz von Schwind, is designed in the style of historicism and dedicated to the art form of opera. Busts of composers frame the hall at lofty heights, with Schwind painting scenes from famous works - from Der Freischütz to Le nozze di Figaro. Busts of great conductors are also on display: Mahler, Strauss, Karajan, Böhm and others.

The adjoining loggia features rich ornamentation as well as scenes and figures from Mozart's The Magic Flute. Both rooms were extensively restored in the course of the 150th anniversary of the Haus am Ring and shine in new splendor.
