Today, the Gustav Mahler Hall is the venue for chamber music matinees of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, ensemble matinees and events of the Official Circle of Friends.
Auditions for the State Opera Orchestra and auditions for the Opera Ball are also held here. Tapestries with motifs from The Magic Flute adorn the walls of the room.
