The Vienna State Opera founded its Official Circle of Friends in the 2020/21 season. Revenue from membership fees goes exclusively to help make the institution accessible to new audiences and to support young artists.

The Official Circle of Friends of the Vienna State Opera supports the Young Artist Program, the Opera School and the activities of the Outreach Department, among others.

With the opening of a new venue for the Vienna State Opera (NEST), the Official Circle of Friends has become even more important and plays a decisive role in the realization of the creative operation and the implementation of the repertoire at NEST.

Membership of our Circle of Friends enables you to actively participate in the social and cultural life of the theatre and to enter into a dialogue with like-minded people. We offer meetings with artists, interesting panel discussions and glimpses behind the scenes. Other popular benefits include exclusive right of first refusal for tickets for selected performances before the official start of ticket sales.
