As a kind of season opener, an open-air opera festival for everyone takes place in Vienna's Burggarten, in the immediate vicinity of the Vienna State Opera, with free admission. You can hear excerpts from great works, some of the most internationally sought-after singers perform on a specially erected stage, as well as the State Opera Orchestra, a great conductor and the Vienna State Opera Chorus.
Pure operatic bliss: music at the highest level, in a relaxed atmosphere and in a great community with others. KS Elīna Garanča, Sonya Yoncheva, Benjamin Bernheim and KS Jonas Kaufmann will be among the performers, and the conductor will be an honorary member of the Vienna State Opera: Bertrand de Billy. On the program: a potpourri of the most popular operas.
