Christiana Stefanou awarded the ARGO Prize 2024

The director of the Ballet Academy was honored for her special commitment to dance.

On October 23, 2024, Christiana Stefanou, Director of the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera, was awarded the ARGO Prize in the "Culture and Art" category by Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou for her special commitment to dance at the Athens Academy of Arts.

The prize, which has been awarded annually by the ARGO network since 2019, honors Greeks who stand up abroad for the values that have been associated with Greece since ancient times: Hospitality, openness to the world, ethics and education, mutual respect and democracy.

The award ceremony was moderated by the renowned journalist Pavlos Tsimas and was attended by representatives of the state, the church and civil society.
