The Vienna State Ballet is one of the most important dance companies in the world. On the stages of the Vienna State Opera and the Vienna Volksoper, on tour, at the Vienna Philharmonic's New Year's Concert or the Opera Ball, it inspires and moves Austrian and international audiences alike. In order to carry this success into the future, it increasingly needs the help of private sponsors.
Thanks to your important contribution, the physiotherapeutic and preventive care that is so important in ballet can be continuously expanded to maintain the health of our dancers. Your contribution also supports the purchase of first-class pointe shoes.

Season 2025/26
Membership bookings for the 2025/26 season (September 2025 - end of August 2026) will be possible in the webshop from mid-March! Registration for all domestic and foreign companies as well as non-EU private individuals takes place by e-mail.
Memberships for the 2024/25 season can be booked via the Freundeskreis office. Please send an e-mail to freundeskreis@wiener-staatsballett.at.

Young Friends

Stage rehearsals
See new productions before anyone else: Visit one of the final rehearsals on the stage of the Vienna State Opera or Volksoper Wien and see for yourself how they are given the finishing touches - even before they are presented to the public.
Ballet rehearsals
A truly exclusive insight into the everyday life of the Vienna State Ballet: look over the shoulders of our artistic team as they work with the dancers.
Artist talks
Get to know the artists of the Vienna State Ballet and other interesting personalities and guests better during exciting artist talks, moderated by the dramaturgy of the Vienna State Ballet.
Movement Class
Fancy dance and movement? In our movement classes, you can experience ballet up close under the guidance of members of the company. The focus is on enjoyment, shared experience and the exploration of space and music. No previous knowledge is required!
Insights into the workshops
Once a season, the Art for Art workshops open their doors to friends of the Vienna State Ballet. In the Arsenal you can experience the work on stage sets, in the Hanuschhof you can look over the shoulders of the costume masters in the costume workshops.
