Young Friends
I find the opportunity to engage more intensively with upcoming premieres or works already in the repertoire particularly exciting. And experiencing the dancers of the Vienna State Ballet from a different perspective, for example at the ballet rehearsals, is simply wonderful.
Are you under 35, a dance enthusiast and want to make a difference in the truest sense of the word without having to dig deep into your pockets?
As a Young Patron, you can book every seat for only €20 one day before a performance at the Vienna State Opera. You can also get up close and personal with our dancers at our varied Circle of Friends events.

Stage rehearsals
See new productions before anyone else: Visit one of the final rehearsals on the stage of the Vienna State Opera or Volksoper Wien and see for yourself how they are given the finishing touches - even before they are presented to the public.
Ballet rehearsals
A truly exclusive insight into the everyday life of the Vienna State Ballet: look over the shoulders of our artistic team as they work with the dancers.
Artist talks
Get to know the artists of the Vienna State Ballet and other interesting personalities and guests better during exciting artist talks, moderated by the dramaturgy of the Vienna State Ballet.
Movement Class
Fancy dance and movement? In our movement classes, you can experience ballet up close under the guidance of members of the company. The focus is on enjoyment, shared experience and the exploration of space and music. No previous knowledge is required!
Insights into the workshops
Once a season, the Art for Art workshops open their doors to friends of the Vienna State Ballet. In the Arsenal you can experience the work on stage sets, in the Hanuschhof you can look over the shoulders of the costume masters in the costume workshops.
