Yamen Saadi
Yamen Saadi was born in Nazareth in 1997. He received his first violin lessons at the Barenboim-Said Conservatory in his hometown and later studied with the renowned concert master of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra Chaim Taub as well as with Mihaela Martin at the Kronberg Academy near Frankfurt. At the age of eleven he joined Daniel Barenboim's West-Eastern Divan Orchestra and was appointed concert master six years later. Since the 2022/23 season he is concertmaster of the Vienna State Opera Orchestra. Among others, he performed as a soloist with the Staatskapelle Berlin, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra as well as the Orquesta de València under conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Lawrence Foster and Christoph Poppen. Further performances have taken him to Europe, Asia and the USA, to the Rheingau Music Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Festival and New York's Carnegie Hall. He is also an enthusiastic chamber musician. Yamen Saadi is a multiple scholarship winner of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and winner of numerous competitions. Among others, he won 1st prizes at the Paul Ben Haim Competition and The Aviv Competitions, the 2nd prize at the Clairmont Competition and the Prinz von Hessen Prize. In 2022 he released with Voices from Paris his first CD.
