Rebeca Olvera
Mexican soprano REBECA OLVERA made her professional operatic debut as Marie (La Fille du régiment) at the Palacio de Bellas Artes. After winning the Audience Prize at the International Hans Gábor Belvedere Singing Competition in Vienna in 2006, she became an ensemble member at the Zurich Opera House. Guest engagements have taken her to the Komische Oper Berlin, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Konzerthaus Dortmund, the Cleveland Orchestra's Severance Hall, the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, the Edinburgh Festival, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, Baden-Baden, the Tonhalle in Zurich, the Royal Theater in Copenhagen, the Bavarian State Opera, the Salzburg Festival and the National Concert Hall in Dublin. Her repertoire includes. Adina (L'elisir d'amore), Norina (Don Pasquale), Berenice (L'occasione fa il ladro), Giulia (La scala di seta), Contessa di Folleville (Il viaggio a Reims), Isolier (Le Comte Ory), Adalgisa (Norma), Rosina in Paisiello's Il barbiere di Siviglia, Blondchen (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Madame Herz (Der Schauspieldirektor), Despina (Cosí fan tutte), Dorinda in Handel's Orlando.
