Ramón Tebar

The Spanish conductor Ramón Tebar is currently the principal conductor of the Orquesta de Valencia, principal conductor at Florida Grand Opera and artistic director of the Palm Beach Symphony Orchestra and Opera Naples. Previously, he was also principal guest conductor at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia. Early in his career, he conducted operas such as Lucia di Lammermoor, La sonnambula, Thaïs, La rondine and M.D. Levy’s Mourning Becomes Electra (Florida Grand Opera), I Puritani (Teatro Lirico di Cagliari), L’italiana in Algeri (Teatro Regio Torino), Tosca (Teatro Villamarta), Falla’s La Vida Breve and Moncayo’s La Mulata de Cordoba (Palacio Bells Artes, Mexico City). Besides his extensive schedule as concert conductor, his opera schedule includes Parma (Giovanna d’Arco), Naples Opera (Così fan tutte, Turandot, The Magic Flute, Aida), Florida Grand Opera (Carmen, Un ballo in maschera, La Bohème, Così fan tutte), the Palau des les Arts Valencia (Nabucco, La Traviata, Don Carlo), the Ópera des Las Palmas (Rigoletto), Ópera de Oviedo (Il Trovatore), Cincinnati Opera (Roméo et Juliette), the Royal Swedish Opera (Askungen), Deutsche Oper Berlin (Madama Butterfly), and the Gran Teatre del Liceu Barcelona (L’elisir d’amore). He débuted at the Wiener Staatsoper in 2018 and conducted Don Pasquale, La Bohème, Madama Butterfly and Turandot.
