Phoebe Liggins
The British Phoebe Liggins received her dance training at the English National Ballet School with Larissa Bamber, Alen Bottaini, Nuno Campos and Irek Mukhamedov. Her first engagement took her to the Polish National Ballet in 2016, where her roles included Luiza in Eaglings & van Schayk’s The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, Bridesmaid in Cranko’s The Taming of the Shrew, roles in Don Quixote (Petipa, Gorski & Fadeyechev), The Sleeping Beauty (Petipa, Grigorovich), La Bayadère (Petipa, Makarova), Neumeier’s Lady of the Camellias, Fokine’s Chopiniana, McGregor’s Infra, Hop’s Fredriana as well as in several works by Krzysztof Pastor including Lost Souls – Do Not Go Gentle, Swan Lake and Tempest. In 2020 she joined the Finnish National Ballet, where she performed in ballets by Val Caniparoli, John Cranko, Jorma Elo, Pär Isberg, Lucas Jervies, Akram Khan, Justin Peck, David McAllister, Tamara Rojo, Tero Saarinen and Liam Scarlett, among others.
Since the 2023/24 season Phoebe Liggins has been a member of the corps de ballet at the Vienna State Ballet where she has performed, among others, Auroraʼs friend in Martin Schläpfer's Sleeping Beauty, Swanilda's friend in Pierre Lacotteʼs Coppélia as well as in Elena Tchernichovaʼs Giselle, George Balanchineʼs Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet, John Neumeierʼs The Lady of the Camellias, Rudolf Nureyevʼs Don Quixote and Swan Lake.
