Latvian soprano Marina Rebeka is one of the leading opera singers of our time. Since her international breakthrough at the Salzburg Festival in 2009 under the baton of Riccardo Muti, Rebeka has been a regular guest in the most prestigious concert halls and opera houses around the world, including La Scala in Milan, the Paris Opera, the New York Met, London’s Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Bavarian State Opera, and the Zurich Opera House. She collaborates with prominent conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Antonio Pappano, Valery Gergiev, Fabio Luisi, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, and Daniele Gatti. Her repertoire spans from Baroque through Bel Canto and Verdi to Tchaikovsky and Britten. As an active and highly regarded concert singer, she has performed at many of the world’s most renowned venues. Her discography includes releases on Deutsche Grammophon, Warner Classics (EMI), BR Klassik, and Naxos. On her own label, Prima Classic, she has released the album Spirito (scenes and arias of dramatic bel canto), Verdi’s opera La Traviata, and her solo albums Elle (French opera arias) and Credo (a selection of sacred and spiritual songs). She also performed the role of Imogene in Il Pirata, an album released by Prima Classic that received the 2022 International Classical Music Award (ICMA) for Opera Recording of the Year. In 2016, she was awarded the Order of the Three Stars, the highest honor of the Republic of Latvia, for her cultural contributions. In 2017/18, she was named the first Artist in Residence by the Munich Radio Orchestra. In 2020, she received the International Classical Music Award (ICMA) as Artist of the Year and the Latvian Ministry of Culture Award for Outstanding Achievements. In 2021, she was honored with the very first Premio alla Carriera "Toti dal Monte".
