Tenor LEONARDO NAVARRO is a native of Concepción (Chile). His career started in 2011, when he made his debut at Teatro Universidad de Concepción in Il Signor Bruschino, followed by appearances in Boris Godunov, Aida (Messenger), the Magic Flute (Monostatos) at Teatro Municipal of Santiago. In 2012 he performed in Lucrezia Borgia und in El Retablo de Maese Pedro. In 2014 he performed as soloist in Beethoven‘s 9th symphony at Teatro Universidad de Concepción; he also sang Cassio and Goro in Las Condes and at Teatro Municipal in Antofagasta. In 2015 he returned to Teatro Universidad de Concepción as Remendado, shortly afterwards he sang Conte d’Almaviva at San Pedro de La Paz in Chile. His engagements in 2016 included Pong in Lima, Gaston and Cassio at Teatro Regional del Maule. He won a PORR AG scholarship and is an ensemble member at Vienna State Opera, where he made his debut in 2017 as Tichon (Kátja Kabanová). Since then, he has appeared here as Messenger (Aida), Herault de Séchelles (Danton’s Death), Don Curzio, Pong, Roderigo (Otello), Prince (Cinderella).
