Tenor JOSEPH DENNIS is a scholarship holder, winning second prize in the Gerda Lissner Foundation International Vocal Competition and the San Antonio Tuesday Music Club Competition as well as first prize at the NATS Competitions Senior and Graduate Divisions. Up to now, Joseph Dennis has sung at the Santa Fe Opera (in Giuseppe Verdi's La traviata, in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro and Huang Ruo´s Dr. Sun Yat- Sen), at the Des Moines Metro Opera (Stewa in Leoš Janácek´s Jenufa), at the Palm Beach Opera (in Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia, Offenbach's Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Malcolm in Verdi´s Macbeth). His further roles include Alfred in Johann Strauß‘ Die Fledermaus, Kaspar in Amahl und die nächtlichen Besucher, Pylades in Iphigénie en Tauride and Fenton in Giuseppe Verdi´s Falstaff. Joseph Dennis is also a successful concert and oratorio singer and has for example sung in Georg Friedrich Händel´s Messiah, Ludwig van Beethoven's 9th symphony and Dubois´ Die sieben letzten Worte Christi.

Since September 2015 Joseph Dennis is member of the Wiener Staatsoper ensemble where he has already sung Brighella, Schulmeister (Schlaues Füchslein), Jaquino, 3. Knappe (Parsifal).
