Janusz Mazon

Janusz Mazon was born in Poland and received his dance training at the ballet school in Bytom. In 1980 he was engaged by the Warsaw State Opera Ballet before moving to the Hamburg Ballet in 1985. In 1989 he was promoted to soloist and in 1993 to first soloist. He danced numerous leading roles in the repertoire of the Hamburg Ballet and created several roles in ballets by John Neumeier. In 1997 he went to the USA and completed his training as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2002. In addition to his chiropractic practice, he was also a ballet master for the company and the School of Georgia Ballet. He has been teaching classical dance and anatomy at the Hamburg Ballet School since 2013.
