Giampaolo Bisanti
Giampaolo Bisanti, born in Milan, studied conducting, clarinet, piano, and composition at the Verdi Conservatory in his hometown. Since the beginning of his career, he has been a regular guest conductor at major Italian opera houses, including Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Maggio Musicale in Florence, Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, Teatro Regio in Turin, Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, and Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa. His international engagements soon took him to Seoul, Vilnius, Stockholm, Tel Aviv, Strasbourg, Zurich, Berlin, Lisbon, Barcelona, Dresden, Berlin, and numerous other cities worldwide.
Recently, he conducted Turandot in Tokyo, Verdi's Requiem at the Peralada Festival, Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Chorégies d’Orange Festival, Lucia di Lammermoor in Basel, La traviata and Tosca at the Semperoper in Dresden, Madama Butterfly at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Anna Bolena at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie, La Bohème and La traviata at the Bavarian State Opera, Rigoletto at the Macerata Opera Festival, Norma in Toulouse, La traviata in Hamburg, as well as La Bohème and Un ballo in maschera at Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari.
Giampaolo Bisanti made his debut at the Vienna State Opera in 2018, where he has since conducted Macbeth, La traviata, Un ballo in maschera, and Rigoletto.
