Gabriel Bermúdez
Born in Madrid, GABRIEL BERMUDEZ studied first under his mother, Carmen Rodriguez Aragon, and then for one year under Teresa Berganza. Since the beggining of the 2002/2003 season until 2011, Gabriel Bermudez was with ensemble of the Zurich Opera House. Recently he sang among others at theatres such as Liceu Barcelona, Opéra de Paris Bastille, Staatsoper Hannover, Teatro Real in Madrid as well as the Salzburg Festival with roles such as Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Marcello (La Bohème), Harlekin (Ariadne auf Naxos), Nardo (La finta giardiniera), Ping (Turandot), Borilée (Les Boréades), Eisenstein and Dr. Falke (Fledermaus), Silvio (Pagliacci), Belcore (L’elisir d’amore), Oreste (Iphigénie en Tauride), Papageno, Guglielmo (Così fan tutte), Valentin (Faust), Le Mari (Les mammelles de Tirésias), Conte (Le nozze di Figaro), Danilo (Die lustige Witwe). He will sing Malatesta and Marcello at the Liceu Barcelona as well as Papageno at the Teatro Real Madrid. He is also a member since 2013 of the ensemble of the Wiener Staatsoper and has performed among others, Mercutio, Sharpless, Marcello, Figaro, Belcore, Heger (Rusalka) and Ping.
