Born in Tel Aviv, the baritone studied at the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv in 1996, followed by a second course of studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna. He is a regular guest under leading conductors at opera houses and concert halls worldwide. Scheduled appearances in the 2020/21 season include Germont (La Traviata) at the Komische Oper Berlin and Music Master Master (Ariadne auf Naxos) and Peter Besenbinder (Hansel and Gretel) at the Wiener Staatsoper. He is scheduled to make his role début in the title role of Verdi’s Rigoletto at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt. At the close of the season, he will also sing Rigoletto at the Wiener Volksoper. Boaz Daniel began the 2019/2020 season as Gunther in Wagner’s Die Götterdämmerung at the Ópera de Oviedo. Subsequently he appeared with the Spanish National Orchestra under David Afkham in concert performances of Tristan und Isolde in Madrid. During his residency contract with the Wiener Staatsoper appearances included the productions of Hansel and Gretel (Peter Besenbinder) and Lohengrin (King’s Herald).  Important engagements in past seasons include Kurwenal (Tristan und Isolde) under Daniel Barenboim at the Berlin State Opera and Dresden’s Semperoper, Opéra national de Paris, San Francisco Opera, in Budapest, Buenos Aires, Perth, with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and at the BBC Proms, Gunther (Götterdämmerung), also at the Berlin State Opera, , King’s Herald (Lohengrin) at Royal Opera House Covent Garden, his début as Escamillo (Carmen) in Tokyo, Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro at Dresden’s Semperoper, Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor) and Amfortas/Klingsor (Parsifal) at Cologne Opera, Don Pizarro (Fidelio) under Zubin Mehta in Israel, his début at La Scale in Zimmermann’s Die Soldaten, Klingsor at the Liceu Barcelona, Posa (Don Carlo) at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Bavarian State Opera and in Tel Aviv, Ford (Falstaff) and Don Carlo (Ernani) at the Lyric Opera Chicago, Renato (Un ballo in maschera«) at Frankfurt Opera, Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor) at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, concert performances of La Bohème with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in Munich under Bertrand de Billy, the title role in Don Giovanni and his role début as Michele in Puccini’s Il tabarro and Franz in Verdi’s I masnadieri at the Wiener Volksoper. Important concert engagements included Schönberg’s Jacob’s Ladder with the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin, Schönberg’s Gurre-Liedern at the KunstFestSpielen Herrenhausen under Ingo Metzmacher, and Mahler’s 8th symphony with the Munich Philharmonic and at Bregenz under the baton of Kirill Petrenko. He has been closely linked with the Wiener Staatsoper since 1998 and has appeared in a broad range of productions including in addition to those mentioned above Falstaff (Ford), Tristan und Isolde (Kurwenal), Madama Butterfly (Sharpless), Manon Lescaut (Lescaut), Le nozze di Figaro (Count Almaviva), L'elisir d'amore (Belcore), I Puritani, Simon Boccanegra (Paolo), La Bohème (Marcello), Carmen, Lucia di Lammermoor, Die Fledermaus, La juive, Pique Dame, Faust, Don Carlo, Götterdämmerung (Gunther), Parsifal (Klingsor), and Un ballo in maschera (Renato).
