Barbara Brigatti

Barbara Brigatti began her training at the ballet school of the Teatro Colón in her hometown of Buenos Aires. After three years, she received a scholarship to the Ballet Academy of Vienna State Opera. Her competition successes include an award at the European Ballet Grand Prix. Representing Argentina at the Prix de Lausanne 2020, she received several scholarships. In the same year she graduated from the Vienna State Opera Ballet Academy and became a member of the Junior Company. Until now, Barbara Brigatti gained stage experience in pieces such as »Bolero«, »Die Puppenfee« and »The Awakening of Flora« and extracts of »The Sleeping Beauty«, »Giselle«, »Chroma« by Wayne McGregor and Johann Strauß’ operetta »Die Fledermaus« at the Volksoper Wien. Since the 2021/22 season Barbara Brigatti has been a member of the Corps the ballet of the Vienna State Ballet (maternity leave replacement). She danced, among others, Tinker Bell in Vesna Orlić's »Peter Pan« and parts in Lotte de Beer's & Andrey Kaydanovskiy's »Jolanthe and the Nutcracker« as well as in Martin Schläpfer's »Sinfonie Nr. 15«, »Ein Deutsches Requiem« and »The Seasons«. Furthermore, she performed in musicals, operettas and opera productions at the Volksoper Wien.
