Antonino Siragusa
Born in Messina, ANTONINO SIRAGUSA made his debut in 1996 as Don Ottavio in Lecce and as Nemorino in Pistoia. Since then, his international career has taken him to the greatest stages the world has to offer (including the Met, La Scala Milan, Berlin State Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, La Monnaie Brussels, Teatro Real in Madrid, Bavarian State Opera, Liceu in Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, Zürich, Philadelphia, Maggio Musicale in Florence, Rossini-Festival Pesaro, Tokyo, Rome, Turin, Verona, Peking). Over the past few years, he has expanded his repertoire to include selected Verdi roles (Fenton, Alfredo, Edward). Most recently, he has performed Conte d’Almaviva in Turin, Verona and Berlin; Ernesto (Don Pasquale) in Turin, Naples and Barcelona; Don Narciso (Il turco in Italia) in Hamburg; Elvino (La sonnambula) in Bilbao, Tebaldo (I Capuleti e i Montecchi) in Barcelona, Don Ramiro (La cenerentola) in Turin, Duke (Rigoletto) in Barcelona. Future performances include: Conte d’Almaviva in Naples and Lindoro (L’italiana in Algeri) in Paris. He made his debut at the Vienna State Opera in 2001 as Conte d’Almaviva and has since here sung the roles of Ernesto, Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi), Nemorino, Lindoro, Don Ramiro and Elvino.
