Alexander Kaden

The brazil-german dancer Alexander Kaden received his education from 2009 to 2011 at the Ballet Gonzalez in Recife, Brazil. In 2010 he won a full scholarship for the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera where he graduated in 2015. In the same year he became a member of the Vienna State Ballet. His most important roles at the Volksoper Vienna comprise the title role in Vesna Orlićʼs »Peter Pan«, Aladdin in Orlićʼs »Tausendundeine Nacht«, Mercutio in Davide Bombanaʼs »Roméo et Juliette«, title role in Andrey Kaydanovskiyʼs »The ugly Duckling«, title role in Thierry Malandainʼs »Don Juan« and friend of the prince in Malandainʼs »Cendrillon (Aschenputtel)«. In the Vienna State Opera he danced in Rudolf Nureyevʼs »Swan Lake« and »Don Quixote«, in Pierre Lacotteʼs »La Sylphide« and Elena Tchernichovaʼs »Giselle«. Furthermore he performed in musicals, operettas and operas at the Volksoper Vienna and operas at the Vienna State Opera. His awards comprise 1st Prizes at the Passo De Arte, Fortaleza Brazil and the Seminario Internacional De Danca, Brasilia Brazil (both in 2010).
