AGNETA EICHENHOLZ comes from Malmö and studied at the Opera Academy in Stockholm. She gave her spectacular debut performance in 2009 in the title role of Berg’s Lulu at Covent Garden. Key moments in her opera career include performances at the Teatro Real Madrid, Gran Teatre del Liceu Barcelona, Komische Oper Berlin, Frankfurt Opera, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Det Kongelige Teater Copenhagen and Göteborgs Operan. Her extensive repertoire includes such roles as Alcina, Fiordiligi, Konstanze, Lucio Cinna, Violetta, Gilda, Juliette, Norina, Sophie Scholl (Weiße Rose), Eva (Meistersinger), Zdenka. Recently, she sang the female lead in Christian Jost’s Rumor at the Vlaamse Opera in Antwerp, Clara/Clarissa in Andrea Lorenzo Scartazzini’s The Sandman at the Basel Theatre, Freia in Rheingold at the Geneva Opera as well as at the Ruhr Triennale, Eva at the Amsterdam Opera and Daphne at the Basel Theatre. Alongside her career as an opera singer, Agneta Eichenholz also performs as a concert soloist. Contemporary music is a particular strength of hers. Future opera projects include Lulu in Rome as well as Vitella in La clemenza di Tito at the Opera Vlaanderen.
