ALBERT DOHMEN was born in Krefeld and can already look back on a long international career. Two of the high points until now was Wozzeck at the Salzburg Easter and Summer Festivals in 1997 and the role of Wotan at the Bayreuth Festival from 2007 to 2010. His repertoire includes among others, König Marke (Tristan und Isolde), Don Pizarro (Fidelio), Gurnemanz (Parsifal), Hans Sachs (Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg), the leading roles in Der fliegende Holländer and Falstaff, Orest (Elektra), Scarpia (Tosca), Jochanaan (Salome) as well as  Wotan/Wanderer in the Ring des Nibelungen. He is a regular guest at Opera houses in Paris, London, Berlin, Zurich, Amsterdam, Milan, New York as well as at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. In the concert sector, he has sung his entire field in almost all big concert halls. With his role of Wotan in Das Rheingold, he introduced himself to the public of the Wiener Staatsoper. Since then he has also sung, with great success, Wotan (Die Walküre), Wanderer (Siegfried), Scarpia, Jochanaan, Holländer, Pi­zarro, Scarpia, Tomski (Pique Dame), Il Commendatore, Wotan (Rheingold), Méphistophélès (Faust), Marke and Orest.​
