Ivan Gyngazov
Born in Novosibirsk, Ivan Gyngazov graduated from the conservatory in his home city in 2013. From 2013-2017 he was engaged as a soloist at the Novosibirsk Opera House, where he sang roles such as Lensky (Eugene Onegin), Vladimir Igorevich (Prince Igor) and Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly). His most recent engagements include his debut at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, where he appeared as Sadko in a new production by Dmitri Tcherniakov (2020), Andrei Morozov in Tchaikovsky's The Oprichnik at the Mikhailovsky Theatre and Manrico (Il trovatore) at the Opéra de Rouen Normandie (2021). At the Mariinsky Theatre, his repertoire includes roles such as Bogdan Sobinin (A Life for the Tsar), Vladimir Igorevich, Vaudémont (Iolanta), the title role in Rimsky-Korsakov's Sadko, Manrico, Gustaf III (Un ballo in maschera), Luigi (Il tabarro), the title role in Berlioz's Benvenuto Cellini, Énée (Les Troyens), Don José (Carmen) and Samson (Samson et Dalila).
