Olga Smirnova

Olga Smirnova was born in St. Petersburg and studied at the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet under legendary tutor Ludmila Kovaleva. Immediately upon graduating from the Vaganova Academy in 2011, she joined the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow as a Soloist and was promoted to First Soloist in 2016. She was touring internationally in the UK, USA, Germany, Italy, Japan, China, Singapore, Bahrain and Norway. As guest artist she appeared with Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, the American Ballet Theatre and the Ballet of the Mariinsky-Theatre. Awards and honours: Grand Prix of the Mikhailovsky Theatre in St.Petersburg (2009), Prix Benois de la Danse (Best Female Dancer, 2013), Positano Premia la Danza – Leonide Massine (Dancer of the Year, 2014), Grand Prix of the Dance Open Ballet Festival in St Petersburg (2016), et al.
