Anja Kampe
ANJA KAMPE’s big break came in 2003 with her performance as Sieglinde at Washington National Opera. She went on to perform this role as guest artist at Los Angeles Opera, San Francisco Opera, Bavarian State Opera, Berlin State Opera, the Liceu in Barcelona, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, at the Budapest Wagner Days, the Proms in London and at the Bayreuth Festival. Her interpretation of Senta also received international acclaim, which she performed at the Bavarian State Opera, Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie, New National Theatre Tokyo, Hamburg State Opera, Covent Garden, Teatro Real and in Vienna, Zurich and Milan, as well as others. In 2014 she sang Leonore for the season opening at the Teatro alla Scala. During 2014/2015 she gave her debut performance in Berlin as Tosca as well as her first performance of Kundry in Germany. In 2015/2016 she sang the roles of Tosca and Sieglinde in Berlin, Leonore and Sieglinde in Munich and Kundry in Madrid. Other roles include Ariadne, Isolde, Giorgetta, Carlotta,Jenůfa, Elsa und Odabella, Katerina Ismailowa. She made her debut at the Vienna State Opera in 2010 as Elisabeth and has since sung as Senta, Sieglinde and Lenore.
