Season presentation 2021/22

On Thursday, June 3, 2021, Bogdan Roščić, Philippe Jordan and Martin Schläpfer will present the 2021/22 season on the stage of the Vienna State Opera.

The presentation, which will take place in front of an audience as well as sponsors and patrons of the Haus am Ring, will focus on the programme as well as talks with directors and artists of the coming season and performances by Nicole Car, Diana Damrau, Kate Lindsey, Patricia Nolz, Martina Serafin, Slávka Zámečníková and Erwin Schrott, the State Opera Orchestra, the Concentus Musicus Wien and the Vienna State Ballet.

The season presentation begins at 11.30 am (duration: approx. 100 minutes without intermission).
All those interested in opera and ballet who cannot attend the presentation in the opera house will have the opportunity to experience the presentation from 11.30 a.m. onwards via livestream on play.wiener-staatsoper.at and on the Vienna State Opera YouTube channel, as well as live time-delayed on ORF III from 11.45 a.m. onwards.

The season book for the 2021/22 season, with more than 200 pages of information about the new season and a multitude of impressive pictures taken by photographer Peter Mayr during countless visits to the Haus am Ring for the season preview, can be purchased from 3 June 2021 in the shop in the opera foyer, from the Vienna State Opera's audience service or in the online shop for €6.90.

The official advance ticket sale for the 2021/22 season starts on June 8 at 2 pm. All dates for September and October will then be on advance sale, and advance orders will be accepted for all performances from November 1.
