Martin Schläpfer about Gustav Mahler

On Friday, 4 December 2020 we show you with the premiere of  »Mahler, live« Martin Schläpfer's first artistic programme at Wiener Staatsoper. Our new ballet director presents his world premiere »4« to Gustav Mahler's 4th symphony alongside Hans van Manen's iconic masterpiece »Live«. Maestro Axel Kober conducts the Orchestra of the Wiener Staatsoper, accompanied by Shino Takizawa on piano and soprano Slávka Zámečníková. In this interview Martin Schläpfer talks about his choreographic work and his love for Gustav Mahler's music.
