If you are interested in supporting this project, there is the possibility to purchase tickets in the best categories with a donation surcharge directly at Cape 10.
For many, it was one of the most moving evenings at the Vienna State Opera when José Carreras celebrated his return to the Viennese opera stage in 1988, following his serious leukemia illness. No wonder, the relationship between him and the Viennese audience was a particularly close one from the very beginning. »A second home« is what the tenor always likes to call this city. The enthusiasm was great from the beginning: Carreras debuted as the Duke in Rigoletto, followed three years later by his first Viennese Cavaradossi, then the sensation, his Rodolfo in La Bohème: 45 minutes of applause! This was followed by, among others, Don Carlo, Calaf, Samson, Don Jose, Werther, Alfredo, Stiffelioa - total of 140 evenings.
